How Kaveotech started, and who runs it
Kaveotech is a small software studio, run by its founder, Andrew Brower.
The route here ran through both sides of the same problem. Years in enterprise sales meant spending most of the week in front of owners and operations managers, explaining the payroll, HR, and back-office software their businesses ran on. Then the other side of the table: engineering, scrum, and leading a small team building accounting and tax platforms.
Kaveotech came out of noticing the same thing from both seats. The businesses that needed this work most were the ones too small to hire somebody to do it, and they were usually being sold either nothing at all or something far larger than they needed.
The useful part of that history isn't the job titles. It's that a conversation about how a professional practice actually runs doesn't have to start from zero, and neither does the build.
How this works in practice
You talk to the person building it
There's no account manager relaying your answers to a developer you never meet. The person who scopes the work is the person who writes it, which is the main reason small projects here don't turn into long ones.
We'll tell you when not to build
A good share of this work runs on tools you already pay for and nobody switched on. When that's the case we'll say so and charge you for wiring it up rather than for a rebuild you didn't need.
You own what we build
Source code, accounts, and integrations all sit in your name. If you ever want to take the work to another developer, you can, without a conversation about who holds what.
